The facility teamed up with the Yuma Police Department to give the residents a unique way to engage with the community. Fifteen officers came out to enjoy coffee and an assortment of doughnuts with the residents, associates and family members....
On April 14, 2017, Life Care Center of Yuma, Arizona, hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt.
All associates, residents and their family members were invited to participate in the hunt. The activities department, with the help of volunteers, hid more than 300 eggs on the front lawn....

The delicious day started off with a facility salsa tasting contest. Five associates entered their special salsa recipes, and almost every resident, along with their family members and other associates, participated in the tasting and voting.

Students from Aztec High School delivered handmade shamrocks for the residents. Afterward, Oscar Chavez performed country-western and some Spanish songs on the guitar for the residents. The day closed out with root beer floats.

The activity department at Life Care Center of Yuma, Arizona, ended 2016 with an early New Year’s Eve celebration for residents on Dec. 30, 2016.
The party took place at 2 p.m., and all of the residents who attended dressed up in fun New Year’s attire. Homemade fudge, brownies, cheesecake and cookies were provided, as well as sparkling ciders, coffee, flavored teas and soft drinks.
