For the second consecutive year, the activities department at Life Care Center of Yuma, Arizona, entered the 2016 Dorothy Young Memorial Electric Light Parade.
Held in downtown Yuma, the parade took place on Dec. 10. This year’s theme was Western rodeo.
“We took eight residents and dressed them up in cowboy hats and LED lights,” said Heather McDermott, activity director. “The residents really enjoyed themselves as we paraded down the streets waving at the crowds.”
The parade has been held for 14 years and draws a crowd of tens of thousands of people.
“It was magnificent,” said residnet Patty Murten. “I enjoyed listening to the Christmas music and saying hi to the crowds of people.”
